1. Além de duas licenciaturas, uma em Economia (Universidade Técnica) e outra em Gestão de Empresas (Universidade Católica) e uma pós graduação em Macroeconomia pela Fundação Gulbenkian, Jorge Vasconcellos e Sá tem um MBA pela The Peter F. Drucker Graduate School of Management na Califórnia, onde foi aluno de Peter Drucker (que mais tarde lhe ofereceu cartas de recomendação e frases abonatórias para os seus livros) e um doutoramento em Gestão de Empresas (PhD), pela Columbia University, de Nova Iorque onde foi enquanto estudante também assistente e investigador e terminou em primeiro lugar. Esteve sempre na Dean’s List.

2. Tendo-lhe sido conferida a Cátedra Jean Monnet pela fundação Jean Monnet em Bruxelas (o mais alto título académico europeu), recebido no passado várias distinções incluindo Fulbright fellowships, Beta, Gama, Sigma, etc., Jorge Vasconcellos e Sá é Professor, catedrático na Universidade de Lisboa, na Swiss Business School (Zurique) e AESE/IESE de Barcelona.

3. Publicou vinte e quatro livros em doze línguas: inglês, português, espanhol, chinês (mandarin), russo, ucraniano, alemão, lituano, tailandês, coreano, norueguês e iraniano e têm recebido citações de recomendação, entre outros, de Peter F. Drucker, Cecily Drucker, Philip Kotler, Al Ries (autor dos bestsellers Marketing Warfare e Posicionamento), Don Hambrick (Professor da Universidade de Columbia e Universidade do Estado da Pennsylvania), Karl Moore (Professor da Universidade de Oxford e McGill), Luiz Moutinho (Professor da Universidade de Glasgow), Peter Starbuck (Presidente da London Drucker Society), etc.

4. Exerceu as funções de consultor privado, administrador não executivo ou ensinou em programas de executivos de empresas multinacionais como a Coca-Cola, SHELL, Unisys, IBM, Price Waterhouse, Klynveld Peat Main Goerdeler, Glaxo, British Petroleum – BP, Dun & Bradstreet, Deloitte & Touche, Makro (grupo Metro), Systéme U (C.N.R.), Intermarché, Mini Prix Bonjours, Accenture, Watson Wyatt, Cap Gemini, Cesce, Scottish and Newcastle, Sara Lee, Microsoft, Total, Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, Logica, Indra, Grandvision, Jafep, Euler Hermes, Cosec, Grupo Pestana Hotéis, Tivoli Hotels & Resorts, Millennium Bank, Julius Baer Bank, SGG, Henkel, Abencys, Broadbill, Grupo Volkswagen, McDonald’s, MiTek, United Steel Products, UnitedHealthcare Group, Grupo Base, Inapa, Vodafone, etc. Além de todas as empresas em que o seu escritório (Vasconcellos e Sá Associados) actuou como consultor em operações de M&A.

6. Vasconcellos e Sá fundou o Instituto de Liberdade Económica e os seus hobbies são História, Krav Maga e Kapap (cinturão negro e instrutor, pelas respectivas federações internacionais), e futebol (diploma de treinador profissional de futebol). Fala e escreve (por ordem alfabética) alemão, espanhol, francês, inglês e português.


1. Besides two undergraduate degrees one in Economics and one in Business Administration and a graduate degree in Macroeconomics, Jorge Sá has a master’s degree from the Peter F. Drucker Graduate School of Management in California, where he studied with Peter Drucker (who offered letters of recommendation and endorsements for his books), and a doctorate (PhD) in Business Administration, from Columbia University, in New York, where he was a student, research and teaching assistant. He finished first in his class and always in the Dean’s list.

2. Awarded the Jean Monnet Chair by the Jean Monnet Foundation at Brussels (the highest European academic award), with several distinctions including Fulbright fellowships, Beta, Gamma, Sigma, etc., Jorge Sá is currently a professor at University of Lisbon, Swiss Business School(Zurich) and at AESE/IESE of Barcelona.

He published twenty three books in twelve languages: English, Portuguese, Spanish, Chinese (Mandarin), Russian, Ukrainian, German, Lithuanian, Thai, Korean, Norwegian and Iranian and have received endorsements, among others, from Peter F.
